Historically, the D.J. culture of Germany has dominated its little neighbor Denmark, but that’s all changing. Pioneering a new and distinctive Copenhagen sound is the band When Saints Go Machine, whose hypnotic electro-pop is held together by the lead singer Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild’s soaring falsetto vocals, which have earned him comparisons to Arthur Russell and Antony Hegarty. As the band prepares to embark on a big tour of Britain, Vonsild talked to The Moment about the new video for the hit single “Kelly” off their latest album, “Konkylie.”
